How do photographers 'build' light in the studio enviroment?
This Studio Photography workshop has been designed to explain the mystery of and studio lighting. Learn how to read light and utilise these profession techniques.

This workshop introduces you to the skills used by professionals to create unique studio based images. Our studio and lighting courses provide hands-on instruction on the manipulation and utilization of light for the production of professional quality images. Students photograph people and products, creating bodies of work that reflect contemporary styles and trends.

TOPICS COVERED:
Light metering
Studio lights and modifiers
Lights stands and backdrops
Lighting ratios
Cable synch, wireless flash, master and slave lights
Lighting portraiture and product
Lighting alternatives such as low and high key, soft and hard light.
Results will be shot digitally viewed on screen.
Requirements:

You will need to be competent with using your SLR in manual mode or have completed a basic or beginners photography course. Your own SLR Film or Digital camera,compact cameras are not recommended
An SLR camera with full manual settings
All lenses you have
Memory cards for the digital
If shooting film, your favourite type or something you wish to experiment with
All camera accessories - i.e:, lens filters, lens hood, etc. if you have them
Fully charged camera batters
Your cameras manual(s) - for referencing those hard to find features
Bring along any of your shots or tearsheetsyou wish to discuss, that you wish to emulate
